1 month old

Boy does time go by fast! It is only 36 days until Christmas yikes! Aaden is counting it down in school so he reminds me everyday! Well I can't believe it but Gavin is already a month old! It feels like just yesterday we go the call for him! He is a wonderful baby! He is very calm and easy going baby! He has had a cold for over 3 weeks now so he has been a little spoiled but still just great! I took him to the doctors but they didn't feel they could give him anything! Poor little guy! He was 5lbs 7oz when he was born and lost the 7 ounces before he left the hospital and as of last week he is already 7lbs! He LOVES to eat! It will be interesting to see how much he weighs on Monday at his next appointment! He is finally in newborn clothes! Woohoo! He has been in premies this entire time! I don't think it will be long before he is sleeping through the night! He started out every 2 hours, then made it to every 3 hours and is now at every 4 hours! I sure look forward to that day! With Jeremy working nights it makes for a long night doing it alone! As far as his adoption it is looking better as the time passes! Nothing is for sure until the adoption papers are signed! But it looks good! I got a call last night and they said they finally found a translator for the birth mom and were able to meet with her yesterday and at this time she still wants no contact and plans on relinquishing her rights! So they plan on meeting with her this Friday and hopefully she won't change her mind and then to my understanding they can move forward with signing the relinquishment papers! So we will see! Gavin's next court date is Tuesday Nov. 25th

Introducing. . .

Well life has been a little crazy in the Lloyd household! On Oct. 22nd we got a call from our social worker wanted to know if we were interested in a baby boy! The adoptions center of the county had called our agency specifically asking for us for this baby! So we decided to go for it! So all we knew was he was a boy, he was 3 days old and he was Guatemalan and he was adoptable! So we left at 3pm that day to head to West L.A. to pick him up! We finally got to see him for the first time around 6pm! He was this itty bitty little guy! But soooo cute! So here is his story as we know it now! His mom just recently came over here from Guatemala and she gave birth to him and expressed that she didn't have the ability to take care of him and wanted to give him up for adoption! So she left the day after she gave birth and left him at the hospital and then we picked him up the next day! So it looks like we will get to adopt him! But we are being very careful with our emotions! But we are really hoping for this to work!!!
